Vinyl Re-Fresh

Ducan Vinyl Re-Fresh is the solution for faded sheet vinyl decking.

It is a blend of specialty water based resins designed to refresh and renew your faded vinyl decking.   (It will not re-waterproof the deck.)

It is tough and durable, U.V. resistant, easy to clean and has a satin finish that is aesthetically pleasing to the eye.  Vinyl Re-Fresh is a colour coat that has excellent adhesion to most types of vinyl sheet decking and can be used both outdoors and in.

Before you begin application of Ducan Vinyl Re-Fresh check the overall integrity of your vinyl sheet surface, paying particular attention to the seams/overlaps and around posts.  Repair any cuts, tears or lifting seams according to the problem solving techniques.

NEW APPLICATION

(2 coats required)

  1. Thoroughly clean the deck using Ducan's "THE DUKE – powerful concentrated cleaner and degreaser". Dilute 10 to 1 with hot water and use a stiff bristle broom to agitate the surface. Rinse with copious amounts of water. Let dry completely.

  2. Stir the Vinyl Re-Fresh until no sediment remains in the bottom of the container.

  3. With a brush, paint a full coat of Vinyl Re-Fresh around railing posts and all edges of the deck.

  4. Prepare the roller and attach the extension.

  5. Using a short nap roller (6 mil pile), roll out the material at the rate of 200 sq. ft. to 250 sq. ft. per 1 U.S. gallon.  Two coats are necessary on previously uncoated vinyl sheet surfaces.  Allow 2 to 4 hours before second coat can begin.

  6. Important: Thoroughly intermix the contents of the remaining containers to ensure colour uniformity of the final coat. Start the second coat at a different corner and work at right angles to the first coat.  Repeat steps 2 thru 5.

  7. Curing time: allow 48 hours to cure before permitting traffic on surface and placement of patio furniture.

RE-APPLICATION

1 coat required.

To maintain you deck surface Ducan recommends a re-application of Vinyl Re-Fresh every 2 to 3 years. Make a test patch when in doubt of compatibility with previous coatings. Follow steps 1 thru 5 above applying only 1 coat.

NOTE: This product is for use on vinyl sheet type decking only.
